THE RULES FOR THE SUPERLEAGUE FORMULA CHAMPIONSHIP 2010

Each team will be given £10 million to spend on drivers and developments to your car.

Prize money will be given each race depending on finishing positions and these can be used to spend on either improving reliability or giving your engine more power. You will have just eight chances during the season in which to improve your car. It is up to you how much of your budget you use throughout the season, but you must state what you're using and how much you use.

Drivers:

If you select your own personal drivers, you MUST provide a short history for them so as to assess how good they are. They will cost you £250k and will bring you NO additional sponsorship money.

These drivers are experienced in the WRL, and have sponsorship money to bring to the team as well. Drivers in red are already employed.

Your cars start with the engine power allocated by the engine manufacturer, and with 12000 reliability points which of course you'll want to reduce!!! Everything has increased a little sense last year, both in cost and value!

Engines will be all the same at the start (680 bhp) and will be Supertech-Engine. (Costs: 2.500.000)

All the cars will have Avon-Tyres in 2011. (Costs: 1.000.000)

Race by race:

Reducing your reliability points by 1 will cost £2000, so reducing it by 250 pts will cost £500k and by 1000 pts will cost you £2m.

Increasing your engine power by 1 bhp will cost £200,000 so increasing by 10 bhp will cost £2m.

Prize money each race:

1st = £1m
2nd = £750,000
3rd = £500,000
4th = £350,000
5th = £300,000
6th = £250,000
7th = £200,000
8th = £150,000
9th = £100,000
10th = £75,000
Any other finishers = £50,000

Pole position = £100,000
Fastest lap = £100,000
Starting money = £50,000

This applies per CAR, not per team.

Points for each race:

1st: 15
2nd: 12
3rd: 10
4th: 8
5th: 6
6th: 5
7th: 4
8th: 3
9th: 2
10th: 1

Pole Position: 1 pt
Fastest Lap: 1 pt

If there are less than 10 finishers, points will NOT be awarded to those who didn't finish.

SUPERLEAGUE FORMULA FORMAT:

On Saturday we have a 1-Lap Quali (15 min) for Race 1. Race 1 will be on Saturday during 40 minutes.
Race 2 will be on Sunday (40 min) with a Reversed-Grid from Race 1.

That meens that there will be only 1 pole position (and 1 point) but 2 fastest Laps (2 x 1 point)

SLF 2011 - Event 1 - Surfers Paradise

Today the second season of SuperLeague Formula started in Queensland, Australia.

With 24 cars on track (Barcelona and Bayern failed to enter a second car) we got underway with the Qualification of Race 1.

It's a 1 Lap Qualification, so you have the be on your top level for 1 lap. A mistake is made really quick and that will mean you will be on the back of the grid. You can ask that, Janos Chromy of HSV. He braked to late for the chicane and spun-off.

Race 1 - Surfers Paradise

With only 4 Laps raced, Blijlevens made a fold and crashed in to the wall.
Beside that it was not a spectacular race, lets hope Race 2 on sunday will be mutch more spectacular with the new rule: The Reversed Grid from Race 1.

Cool (Man Und.) took the Victory with Blondy (Arsenal) 2nd and Nery (Real Madrid) in 3th

Race 2 - Surfers Paradise

Race 2 started with the famous reversed grid of Race 1. The best of Race 1 where behind on the grid and that gave all ready a spectacular start. Fernando Nery (nr 3 of race 1) was hit by Per Rugen (nr 4 of R1) both damaged there cars and spun off. They couldn't get out of the grass anymore.

Blijlevens was in the lead again, but again he has bad luck. Pole for Race 1, out within 4 Laps, Pole for Race 2 and again out now after 6 laps. Winner of Race 1 Lewis Cool had move up untill 15th, but his engine was blown up. Cheik Blondy (Arsenal) was the man of Race 2, after finishing second in Race 1, he had to start from P23 but he has made his way up and took the victory of Race 2.

LWS - Round 2 - Race 1

Sao Paulo - Brazil

The first race was a close one, but Blijlevens was the quickest on track. Nobody could catch him up.

A spectacular crash with vd Made was the only exciding moment on track today.

LWS - Round 2 - Race 2

Sao Paulo - Brazil

Race 2 started with the famous Reversed Grid from Race 1. Blijlevens and Cool both on the back of the grid.
Blijlevens had a good start, within 1 laps from P26 tot P18. Cool couldn't do the same.

Several drivers had the lead, Mendez, Blondy and Gartner, they were all in front. Gartner was on his way to the victory, but with 1 lap to go, his car died with electronic problems. Mendez took over the lead and won with only 1 lap driven in front of the pack.

From the back of the grid, Blijlevens took the second place with his teammate Thijssen in third.

SLF Race 1 - Las Vegas, Nevada USA

The Top 3 in Qualify where also the best in Race 1, At the start Cool took the lead with Blijlevens 2nd and Nery in 3th and then a long time nothing. Nery is the first who's out of the top-contenders.

Cool and Blijlevens were battling the whole race. Blijlevens was the first to stop in the pit with only 8 laps to go. The gap between Cool en Blijlevens before the stop was 2.4 seconds. With 2 laps on new tires, the question is can he catch Cool when he stops.... Blijlevens set the fastest lap and passed Cool when he left the pit lane.

SLF Race 2 - Las Vegas, Nevada USA

The reversed grid of race 1, set Blijlevens and Cool on the back of the grid. Gartner is on pole, he was the first out in Race 1. Pedro Thijssen, who also had a good first race, was on the back of the grid. But not for long, he hit the brakes to late for the first corner and went over the back of Delay's car. The Fight between Cool and Blijlevens ended in lap 12 when Cool got an Engine Failure.

Blondy (arsenal) took the Victory, 2nd Nery (real) and 3th vd Made (club). SLF-Leader Blijlevens scored points from the back of the grid to P4.
