RE: 2011 GPWC

Okay, I accept this, but:

1. I think this is an unfair rule. Why can everybody select 5 (!!) manufacturers. If it would have been 2 I would say it's okay, but 5...

2. I think it's unfair to introduce a rule then directly pick 5 manufacturers with your 2nd account and then 1 hour later pic further 5 manufacturers with your 1st account. This topic was almost 1 year ago, not 6 month. Just imagine I had to write 6 exams in the week after that date. Preperation for them needs a lot of time. Do you think I'll check the forum every hour then??

3. It would have been at least a nice gesture if you would have let me Honda, because both of my GPWC teams and my LMWS team used Honda/Acura used these engines from the very beginning on.

4. World Racing and K-Speed withdraw their entries from 2011 GPWC with immediate effect.

What 2nd account? I don't have a second account. McQueen and AJ Charles are friends of mine, why shouldn't I invite them?

Okay, than it's a friend, but that's not the point. The point would be to explain the sense of this regulation!! That would be really interesting.

Greetings,

My name is Rikki Roberts and I am from Singapore. I was hoping to join your forum. If you only have 12 teams then I would like to enter with two teams to fill up the grid. Been studying your forum as a guest for six months and I'd like to compete.

I have two teams that I race with on the grandprix2.de website because I like them both:

Fox Racing
Genius China

I think they are made by the same person but I love the teams and would like to run them in GPWC. Am I too late to enter this year???

You are JUST in time, Rikki. Glad you could join us!

I will allow both your teams entry if you can get four drivers from the driver's market signed successfully, and can get bitmaps and helmets sent to me by the end of today.

Try and get some manufacturer and race team backing if you can, as it adds to the realism. Also if you can tell us about the team in Meet The Teams, that would be great.

We'll wait for you.

You should find in your e-mails my two teams. Both are using Bridgestone tyres, and I would like SME's permission to use Honda engines for both cars. If not, I will use Yamaha.

My drivers are now confirmed:

Fox Racing
Bjorn Makki-Ohlson (FIN) / Stefano Sampietro (ITA)

Genius China
Chu Chunfeng (CHI) / Jinsong Li (CHI)

Many thanks for allowing me to enter.

Round 1, MEXICO, Mexico City
Qualifying

There was certainly no dominance for the reigning champion Jake Sanson, who has to settle for fourth on the grid. Pole position went to "the 11th hour man" as he's just been nicknamed, Bjorn Makki-Ohlson who had only just inked a deal to drive with newcomers Fox Racing. Pole position on their debut was completely unexpected and had shades of Brawn in F1. Moreno and Holland are right at the front as was expected, ahead of Sanson, Sampietro and Rebecky.

Lewis Davidson impressed on his debut with 8th place, whilst Baru and Toccacello both struggled for grip only managing 11th and 12th. Gerard and Merdassi were both satisfied with their eight row starts on their debut, Elio Lahikkanen looks positively homesick for Team Cyprus down in 17th, and three big names filled the bottom three places on the grid: Sainz and Okazaki's AJC Mazdas splitting the former champion Jean-Claude Dupres starting 25th on his incredible return.

Sadly, neither of the two Diamond Star Hyundais could qualify for their debut Grand Prix.

AZUL Racing Press release : "As far as we concerned, our team it's putting in a big debt with some inverstors group, due to the no-races this year. So, to keep our team healthy, we only give to GPWC Management, 1 week, to resume the races. If later this week, any activity doesn't resume, our team will withdraw from the championship."

Jake Sanson has withdrawn from this project... so i must calculated all the data and budgets first before we can go on. I know it frustrating that there were no races like plant but to continue this project, its better dan to quit with everything. I will publice a new calender today and i will try to do 1 race within a week.

I have worked last 3 weeks over 60 ours a week, so i don't had enough time to run it by the original calender.

Homestead, Miami-Florida

Race:

The start was already spectacular, were 3 man were fighting for the lead with Holland, Abratte and Davidson. After 5 laps Holland suceed in making a gap with the others. With a poor pitstop Holland lost a lot of time. 4 Cars were really close during the race, with Abratte running in first and close behind him, Davidson, Woldenberg and Rebecky.

In lap 66 Rebecky had a Transmission Failury and Woldenberg got a Loose Wheel but could reache it to the pit. Abratte and Davidson stopped in lap 78 and from that moment on they were really fighting for victory. In every lap they overtook each other, but in lap 95 the fight was over. Davidson overtook a back marker before Turn 3. Abratte couldn't and the gap with Davidson was to big. He secured P2.

FL: Tim Holland - 28.136

A very nice result for my team. When I can make any updates on the car?

Another news is that Team Bulgaria will continue his career at Lola Championship and GPWC in 2012 only after a good final result of the season.

GPWC Race 3 @ Buenos Aires

The track in Buenos Aires is a low-grip circuit where several drivers had much problems with this grip.
Several? almost every driver spun-off the track ones. van Richter, Holland and Sanson had a good start and were battleling all the way. Holland and Sanson had there problems, van Richter could go on.

Moreno also went off, he came back on track, whene Abratte came through, it was close but they didn't tough each other. The question will be if "Team Bulgaria" will take legal actions after the race. So the race results will be un-official untill a reaction of the manager of Team Bulgaria.

With 15 laps to go, van Richter had also problems, his Mercedes engine died in the lead of the race. Medina Gonzalez took over the lead with 37 seconds ahead of her Gemma Steel. The pressure on the shoulders of the young Spanish girl was really big. To big..... 2 Laps before the flag, Gonzalez went off, marchals needed to push her back on track but she had a broken front wing. Steel was smiling in the Car of Cymru Dragon. The second victory in a row for the team. Toyoma (Bulgaria) came in 2nd and Moreno (DRTW) in 3th with the second Bulgaria-car in fourth with Abratte. But will Moreno be punished for his unsave driving actions.
